Armagh, known as "The Garden of Ulster" is well known for its rich fruit growing area's.
Armagh City or "The Cathedral City", named for the Cathedral which was built on the burial site of the patron saint of Ireland “St. Patrick”.
To the north is Irelands largest lake, Lough Neagh, and to the south the natural barrier, between north and south Ireland goes through Armagh, a long sand and gravel ditch, called the Black Pigs Dyke. |
